As the Vice President of Business Development & Growth at Orion Space Solutions, Sara Tatsch leads the company’s strategic efforts to expand its footprint in space-based services and solutions. Leveraging her expertise in strategic planning, business capture and operational management, Sara plays a critical role in driving sustained growth and securing key opportunities for Orion in the competitive aerospace and defense industry.

Sara joined Orion in 2024, following her tenure as General Manager of L3Harris’s Modification and Modernization Group (MMG). In this role, she led a $1 billion business with 1,500 employees across Texas and Oklahoma, driving both near- and long-term strategies to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and timely aerospace and defense solutions to a global customer base.

Before L3Harris, Sara served as Vice President of Business and New Program Development at Virgin Galactic, where she contributed to the growth of groundbreaking new program initiatives. She also spent nearly 14 years at Lockheed Martin’s renowned Skunk Works division, honing her expertise in strategy development, proposal management, and complex contract negotiations.

With a proven track record of leadership across both emerging and established aerospace organizations, Sara is passionate about advancing innovation in space exploration and technology.
